A New Origin of An Ancient High-Seas Horror Myth From A Distant Galactic Past:

The largest structure in the universe is called the Vast Wall of Galaxies. Hidden deep near the exact center of this structure is a substructure called the Ovoid Beyond Hope. Within this substructure, time and space are discontinuous and the Ovoid is not navigable by any known means. Many space vessels have been lost in the region creating a vast graveyard. Due to the extreme effects of gravity, ships lose power, and insanity among crews and passengers ensues. An Earthly myth from high-seas travel has been created, oddly enough, from the tales deriving from doomed travel in the Ovoid Beyond Hope.
